In December, in the middle of my house being full of relatives and during a time when my ability for making sane decisions should have been questioned, I got a book out from the library called "No Plot? No Problem." It's a book by the person who instituted the NaNoWriMo contest. As I read it I got this crazy idea to do my own NaNoWriMo. I can not do the real NaNoWriMo (for those who don't know it stands for National Novel Writing Month) because of my involvement in the Culture Crawl the same month. So I got the great idea to run my own. I contacted some friends and managed to convince two poor soul to follow me in this foolish adventure.
So January third we inaugurated what we dubbed the NotNaNoWriMo and began the journey that will end February second .
Despite a rocky start, I am proud to say that (though I haven't finished today's word count) I have managed to keep up to the schedule. One of my other friends has also maintained the word count, with the other just happy that she is writing anything and at least doing a page a day without worrying about word counts.
I'm telling you all this because I doubt if I will be posting much of anything over the next three weeks. I will try to keep up with friends posting but please don't think I have forgotten you if you don't hear from me for a while. :)
